After years navigating the broader music industry, Los Angeles native K.G. sought to apply the skills and intuition she gained to the underground metal scene, and, in 2015, she founded Born For Burning, which has since become synonymous with the production of live performances and events in the Los Angeles area and beyond. Among the many notable acts Born For Burning has hosted are international legends such as Pagan Altar (UK), Sabbat (Japan), and Bulldozer (Italy), as well as domestic luminaries like Black Witchery and Demoncy.

Born For Burning has also spawned the Metal Merchants series, where dozens of vendors come together every month to sell records, tapes, clothing, and other metal-related merchandise. Additionally, Born For Burning organizes regular metal nights at bars around the Los Angeles area featuring local DJs, including K.G. herself (aka DJ Painkiller Kim), who also hosts a weekly metal show on NTS Radio.
